GP Phone Triage

GP triage for patients who request a same day appointment. One of our doctors will call you back to assess your situation and give you medical advice, prescription, or an urgent on the day appointment.

Charges depend on services provided.

Test Results

Most test results are available within 72-96 hours . Your doctor or nurse would have discussed how you shall be provided with abnormal results, at the time of consultation. We shall notify you by one of the following methods:

  • Manage My Health patient portal
  • Text message

You will not be notified if your results are normal.

Please note: biopsies and cervical cytology tests may take two or three weeks to be completed by the Laboratory.

If you expect to learn about results but haven’t heard, please call reception at 04 555 4450  and ask to speak with a nurse.

Repeat Prescription

Repeat prescriptions for regular medications can request by using Manage My Health or call 04 555 4450 Ext 1 to order. This service is only available for long term medications and not all medications will be able to be requested this way. Please allow 3-5 working days for a normal prescription.

For an urgent prescription, please call 04 555 4450 and ask to speak to a nurse.

All prescriptions will be sent to a pharmacy electronically.

We will text you when your prescription has been sent to the pharmacy.

Immunisations

High Street Health Hub offers a wide range of adult and childhood immunisatoins, including the HPV, B12, Flu shot and Whooping cough etc.,

ECG & Heart Health Checks

Smear Test

The National Cervical Screening Programme recommends cervical screening every 3 years.

People who have previously had abnormal smear tests may need to have them more often.  Having regular tests can reduce a woman’s risk of developing cervical cancer by 90%.  We have female doctors and nurses available for cervical smears.

Maternity care

The highly skilled team at High Street Health Hub is happy to provide advice for you and your baby. We also provide for new babies including child checks and all childhood immunisations.

Maternity care is funded for eligible enrolled patients for the first trimester for pregnancy related healthcare.

Minor Surgery

We have one clinic operating room that has been set up for minor surgery procedures . Our doctors and nurses are all experienced in these procedures   Please talk with your Doctor about your procedure, as costs will vary.

Liquid Nitrogen

We offer liquid nitrogen for verrucas, skin lesions and warts. 

A doctor’s consultation is needed prior to cryotherapy. 

Drivers Licence Medicals

You have to confirm that you are medically fit each time you apply for, renew or replace your driver licence. To show that you’re in good health you must: provide an original medical certificate (not older than 60 days) that has been completed by a New Zealand-registered health practitioner.

All our doctors provide driving medicals for our patients.

Diabetes Review

Regular review of patients with diabetes is essential to prevent or delay the onset of diabetes complications and slow their progression.

Every patient with type 2 diabetes should be reviewed at least annually; more frequent review may be indicated depending on the patient’s risk factors.  In most cases your Annual Diabetic Review is free of charge.
